    1923 · New Zealand's Claim to Antartica

    The Ross Dependency is a New Zealand dependency located on the Antarctician Continent. It is the only settlement on the Antartica that is claimed by a sovereign nation. New Zealand still owns claim even after the Antarctic Treaty that was signed in 1959 by 11 other nations. 

    1927 · Kilmarnock War Memorial

    The Kilmarnock War Memorial was built to pay tribute to all residents of Kilmarnock who fought in World War I. Most of the building is accessible to the public and names of the people who died line the walkways inside and out. After World War II, additions were made adding the names of those who gave their lives in World War II.

    1941 · The Clydebank Blitz

    The Clydebank blitz was comprised of two devastating air raids on the shipbuilding town of Clydebank. From the raids, 1,200 people died and all but eight houses were destroyed.

    English: variant of Erwin 1.

    Welsh: possibly from the Welsh personal name Urien (see Uren ), but this is difficult to substantiate.
