"In 1960, ""Cine Latino"" is one of the biggest cinemas in Mexico City. At time of construction, the building had room for 1,850 seats. After a brief remodling, the cinema expands its capacity to 2,500 The site is now occupied by the ""Torre Latino Reforma""."
1969 · First line of�Mexico City Metro�(subway system) opened

Line 1 of the subway opens on Sept. 4th, 1969. This subway system is an intricate part of city life and grows to incorporate 12 lines by 2012, some lines with above ground portions and other having stretches that go underground.

Galician and Spanish: nickname, probably for a high-spirited person, from becerra ‘young cow’, ‘heifer’. It may also have been a metonymic occupational name for a cowherd.
