When Harriet Lillian Eastgate was born in 1875, in Namena, Mulobezi, Western, Zambia, her father, Alexander John Eastgate, was 38 and her mother, Harriett Maria Lambert, was 37. She married Harold Snell in 1892. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. She died in 1934, in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, at the age of 59.
