When Pierre "Peter" Dupuy was born in 1694, in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, his father, Bartholomew DuPuy, was 42 and his mother, Marie Gardie, was 31. He married Judith Lefevre in 1722, in Goochland, Goochland, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 7 daughters. He died in 1777, in Nottoway Parish, Southampton, Virginia, British Colonial America, at the age of 83.
