When Albert Van Voorhees was born on 15 February 1767, in New York, United States, his father, Nicasius Lucassen Van Voorhees, was 22 and his mother, Jannetje Albert Ackerman, was 17. He married Margaret Grietie Demarest on 10 December 1791. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. He died on 30 July 1850, at the age of 83, and was buried in Bergenfield, Bergen, New Jersey, United States.
