When Rudolf Rohrbach was born on 30 June 1837, in Rüeggisberg, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Christian Rohrbach, was 49 and his mother, Barbara Habegger, was 35. He married Margaretha Rolli on 4 May 1861, in Thurnen, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He died on 18 August 1910, at the age of 73.
