When Nicolas Babineau was born in 1653, in Soudan, Deux-Sèvres, Poitou-Charentes, France, his father, Antoine Joseph Babineau Dit DesLauriers, was 35 and his mother, Louise Bourdage, was 21. He married Marie Marguerite Granger in 1687, in Port-Royal, Acadia, New France. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He died from 1719 to 17 November 1723, in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada.
