He married Helen Naomi Eckles on 4 August 1934, in Sedalia, Pettis, Missouri, United States. He lived in Houstonia, Pettis, Missouri, United States in 1930 and Lake Judicial Township, Siskiyou, California, United States in 1940. He died on 27 May 2003, in Klamath, Oregon, United States, at the age of 91, and was buried in Picard Cemetery, Dorris, Siskiyou, California, United States.
