He married Lois Lathrop on 17 November 1808, in Lebanon, Grafton, New Hampshire, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States in 1850 and Fisher Township, Fremont, Iowa, United States in 1860. He registered for military service in 1812. He died on 10 August 1864, in Shenandoah, Page, Iowa, United States, at the age of 80, and was buried in Manti Cemetery, Manti, Fremont, Iowa, United States.
