When Andreas Steiner was christened on 11 November 1666, in Garnsdorf, Auerswalde, Kreis Mittweida, Saxony, Germany, his father, Johannes Steiner, was 21 and his mother, Maria Lanckoff, was 17. He married Rosina Irmscher on 11 November 1690. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 21 April 1720, in his hometown, at the age of 53.
