Johannes Jeremias Klokstad was born on 29 May 1887, in Bodø, Nordland, Norway as the son of Benhard Severin Johansen and Inger Fredrikke Marie Vikaesen. He married Aronie Eline Petrikke Karlsen in August 1919, in Ankenes, Nordland, Norway. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 21 January 1949, in his hometown, at the age of 61, and was buried in Bodø, Nordland, Norway.
