He married Emma Anderson on 22 December 1884, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Saint Johns, Oneida, Idaho, United States in 1900 and Stone, Oneida, Idaho, United States in 1904. He died on 1 October 1904, in Snowville, Box Elder, Utah, United States, at the age of 48, and was buried in Snowville Cemetery, Snowville, Box Elder, Utah, United States.
