When James Brindley was born on 18 January 1878, in Annabella, Sevier, Utah, United States, his father, George Brindley, was 38 and his mother, Jane Shutt, was 36. He married Melissa Wilson on 25 October 1905, in Manti, Sanpete, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 4 daughters. He immigrated to Vermont, United States in 1923 and lived in Greenwich, Piute, Utah, United States for about 20 years and Greenwich Election Precinct, Piute, Utah, United States for about 5 years. He registered for military service in 1919. He died on 27 January 1970, in Provo, Utah, Utah, United States, at the age of 92, and was buried in Koosharem, Sevier, Utah, United States.

1881 · The Assassination of James Garfield

Garfield was shot twice by Charles J. Guitea at Railroad Station in Washington, D.C. on July 2, 1881. After eleven weeks of intensive and other care Garfield died in Elberon, New Jersey, the second of four presidents to be assassinated, following Abraham Lincoln.

1900 · The Manti Fire Department
