He immigrated to Ellis Island, New York City, New York, United States in 1910 and lived in Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1920 and Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1930. He died on 6 December 1937, in Berlin, Germany, at the age of 59, and was buried in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
