When George Nephi Anderson was born on 3 February 1911, in Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah, United States, his father, Lorenzo William Anderson Sr., was 35 and his mother, Sarah Olive Mason, was 29. He married Imogene Estelle Talbot on 19 July 1935, in Logan, Cache, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He immigrated to Utah, United States in 1929 and lived in United States in 1949 and Jerome, Jerome, Idaho, United States in 1950. He died on 17 August 1986, in Fresno, Fresno, California, United States, at the age of 75, and was buried in Unknown Island, Western Australia, Australia.

The frequency of the surname in Scotland is attributable, at least in part, to the fact that Saint Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, so the personal name has long enjoyed great popularity there.
