When Alfreda Jacobina Nielsen was born on 29 January 1855, in Denmark, her father, Hans Nielsen, was 52 and her mother, Maren Hansdatter, was 36. She married William Griffith Williams on 23 November 1873, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She lived in Lakeview, Utah, Utah, United States in 1910 and Lakeview Election Precinct, Utah, Utah, United States in 1940. She died on 22 June 1949, in Provo, Utah, Utah, United States, at the age of 94, and was buried in Provo City Cemetery, Provo, Utah, Utah, United States.

The Copenhagen Waterworks was the first waterworks in Denmark and served the community until 1951. It was one of the first buildings to be built outside Copenhagen's old city walls.

1881 · The Assassination of James Garfield
Garfield was shot twice by Charles J. Guitea at Railroad Station in Washington, D.C. on July 2, 1881. After eleven weeks of intensive and other care Garfield died in Elberon, New Jersey, the second of four presidents to be assassinated, following Abraham Lincoln.
