Mariüs Knüdsen-Rose was born on 11 December 1858, in Givskud, Givskud, Koldinghus, Denmark as the son of Mikkel Knudsen and Marie Christensen. He died in July 1861, in Dunkirk, Chautauqua, New York, United States, at the age of 2, and was buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Dunkirk, Chautauqua, New York, United States.
