When Isabelle Ann Cain was born on 3 March 1803, in Marown, Isle of Man, her father, Matthias Cain, was 20 and her mother, Isabella Fayle, was 22. She married James Cowley on 28 April 1827, in Castletown, Isle of Man. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. She immigrated to Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States in 1844 and lived in Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States in 1850 and Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1860. She died on 10 February 1880, in Farmington, Davis, Utah, United States, at the age of 76, and was buried in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
