She married William Adam Empey on 16 September 1829, in Osnabruck Township, Stormont Dundas and Glengarry, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 7 daughters. She lived in Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1850 and St. George, Washington, Utah, United States for about 10 years. She died on 24 February 1891, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
