When Julia Ann Morris was born on 9 July 1812, in Montgomery, Kentucky, United States, her father, Moses Morris, was 42 and her mother, Susannah Morris, was 41. She married Samuel C. Mcmurtrey from January 1833 to December 1833. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 11 daughters. She died in November 1862, in Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States, at the age of 50, and was buried in Huntsville, Weber, Utah, United States.

1818 · Jackson Purchase

The western part of Kentucky purchased by Andrew Jackson from the Chickasaw Indians in 1818. It became known as the Jackson Purchase. This included land that wasn't originally part of Kentucky when it became a state.

1819 · Panic! of 1819

With the Aftermath of the Napoleonic Wars the global market for trade was down. During this time, America had its first financial crisis and it lasted for only two years. 

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.

Irish: Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Muirghis, a variant of Ó Muirgheasa (see Morrissey ).

Welsh: Anglicized form of the personal name Meurig (from Latin Mauritius), which was gradually superseded in Wales by Morus, Morys, a derivative of the Anglo-Norman French form of the name (see 1 above).
