When Louisa Ward was born on 12 March 1808, in Cove Creek, Tazewell, Virginia, United States, her father, William T. Ward, was 32 and her mother, Nancy Thompson, was 34. She married William Elliott Higginbotham on 8 September 1831, in Burkes Garden, Tazewell, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1864 and lived in Tazewell, Tazewell, Virginia, United States in 1850 and Eastern District, Powhatan, Virginia, United States in 1860. She died on 8 January 1887, in Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Ogden City Cemetery, Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States.

1812 · Monumental Church Built

The Monumental Church was built between 1812-1814 on the sight where the Richmond Theatre fire had taken place. It is a monument to those that died in the fire.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
