When Aagaat Ellen Ostensdatter was born on 11 April 1823, in Tinn, Telemark, Norway, her father, Østen Sondresen, was 33 and her mother, Aase Olsdatter, was 29. She married Heber Chase Kimball on 5 November 1844, in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. She lived in Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1850 and Rich, Utah, United States in 1870. She died on 11 November 1871, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 48, and was buried in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.

1825 · The Crimes Act
The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.

1836 · Remember the Alamo
Being a monumental event in the Texas Revolution, The Battle of the Alamo was a thirteen-day battle at the Alamo Mission near San Antonio. In the early morning of the final battle, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. Quickly being overrun, the Texian Soldiers quickly withdrew inside the building. The battle has often been overshadowed by events from the Mexican–American War, But the Alamo gradually became known as a national battle site and later named an official Texas State Shrine.

It is also sometimes used as a short form of Eleanor , to which, however, it is unrelated.
