When Rebecca Morgan was born on 30 January 1828, in Llantwit Fardre, Glamorgan, Wales, her father, Lewis Morgan, was 31 and her mother, Margaret Phillips, was 27. She married Richard Jenkins Davis on 22 July 1849, in Llantwit Fardre, Glamorgan, Wales. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1853 and lived in Box Elder, Utah, United States in 1860 and Utah, United States in 1870. In 1880, at the age of 52, her occupation is listed as keeping house. She died on 5 April 1896, in Willard, Box Elder, Utah, United States, at the age of 68, and was buried in Willard City Cemetery, Willard, Box Elder, Utah, United States.

Eclectic Period (Art and Antiques).

1831 · Merthyr Uprising 

Sparked by a depression that was going through Wales the previous three years, the Merthyr uprisings were carried out by workers that were in debt. In the process, twenty-four people were killed and twenty-six were arrested. Troops were brought in to stop the protestors.
