When Christian Grejs Larsen was born on 17 December 1828, in Grejs, Nørvang, Vejle, Denmark, his father, Lauritz Johansen, was 34 and his mother, Ane Margrethe Sørensdatter, was 31. He married Maria Caroline Sorensen on 1 April 1857, in Holmens, København, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Spring City, Sanpete, Utah, United States for about 20 years. He died on 1 June 1911, in Castle Dale, Emery, Utah, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Castle Dale City Cemetery, Castle Dale, Emery, Utah, United States.

1829 · Oldest Leather Goods in Denmark

Kuffert Sorensen was established in 1829 by Carl Peter Sorensen as a leather goods company. Today the business has five locations and each are run by a member of the Sorensen family.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
