When Oluf Joswald Andersen Sr was born on 4 April 1849, in Østre Aker, Kristiania, Norway, his father, Anders Olsen, was 32 and his mother, Karen Maria Jensdatter, was 28. He married Marine Kathinka Wilberg on 9 November 1874, in Endowment House, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Oslo, Norway in 1849. He died on 8 February 1934, in Castle Dale, Emery, Utah, United States, at the age of 84, and was buried in Castle Dale, Emery, Utah, United States.
