When Edward Hunter was born on 29 March 1821, in Newtown Township, Delaware, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, William Hunter Sr, was 36 and his mother, Sarah Ann Davis, was 27. He married Mary Ann Whitesides on 5 November 1843, in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 7 daughters. He lived in Utah, United States in 1870. He registered for military service in 1846. He died on 11 April 1892, in Grantsville, Tooele, Utah, United States, at the age of 71, and was buried in Grantsville City Cemetery, Grantsville, Tooele, Utah, United States.

1825 · The Crimes Act

The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
