When Jens Frandsen was born on 6 October 1822, in Grundfør, Vester Lisbjerg, Århus, Denmark, his father, Frands Peter Jensen, was 21 and his mother, Johanne Marie Laursen, was 24. He married Kjersten Jensdatter on 20 June 1845, in Feldballe, Djurs Sønder, Randers, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Agri, Mols, Randers, Denmark for about 5 years and Mols, Randers, Denmark in 1860. He died on 11 June 1893, in Huntsville, Weber, Utah, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, Weber, Utah, United States.

1825 · The Crimes Act

The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.

1829 · Oldest Leather Goods in Denmark

Kuffert Sorensen was established in 1829 by Carl Peter Sorensen as a leather goods company. Today the business has five locations and each are run by a member of the Sorensen family.
