He married Rebecca Morgan on 22 July 1849, in Llantwit Fardre, Glamorgan, Wales. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Willard, Box Elder, Utah, United States in 1880 and Merthyr Dyfan, Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom in 1891. He died on 5 October 1892, in Malad, Oneida, Idaho, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in Willard City Cemetery, Willard, Box Elder, Utah, United States.
