He lived in Stouby, Bjerre, Vejle, Denmark in 1845 and Urlev, Bjerre, Vejle, Denmark in 1850. He died on 1 January 1923, in Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Ephraim Park Cemetery, Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States.
