Brief Life History of Serge Louis

When Serge Louis Ballif was born on 19 April 1821, in Perroy, Vaud, Switzerland, his father, Jean Francois Frederic Ballif, was 46 and his mother, Henriette Louise Clermonde Susanne Alexandrine Bègue, was 34. He married Elise Marie LeCoultre on 24 November 1848, in Odessa, Kherson, Russian Empire. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 7 daughters. He immigrated to World in 1881 and lived in Utah, United States in 1870. He registered for military service in 1860. He died on 25 April 1901, in Logan, Cache, Utah, United States, at the age of 80, and was buried in Logan Cemetery, Logan, Cache, Utah, United States.

1825 · The Crimes Act

The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
