When Peter Madsen was born on 6 April 1824, in Studsdal, Taulov, Koldinghus, Denmark, his father, Mads Pedersen, was 35 and his mother, Mette Marie Hansdatter, was 25. He married Mariane Madsdatter on 12 November 1847, in Bredstrup, Koldinghus, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Orem, Utah, Utah, United States in 1900 and Utah, Utah, United States in 1910. He registered for military service in 1848. He died on 20 August 1911, in Provo, Utah, Utah, United States, at the age of 87, and was buried in Provo City Cemetery, Provo, Utah, Utah, United States.

1825 · The Crimes Act

The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.

1829 · Oldest Leather Goods in Denmark

Kuffert Sorensen was established in 1829 by Carl Peter Sorensen as a leather goods company. Today the business has five locations and each are run by a member of the Sorensen family.

1847 · Casino Theatre (Copenhagen)

The Casino Theatre was built as an entertainment center by Georg Carstensen but was converted into a theatre in 1848. After many years of never gaining popularity, it was closed in 1937 and demolished in 1960.
