He married Mary Ellen Worsley on 26 January 1869, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Utah, Utah, United States for about 60 years. He registered for military service in 1867. He died on 14 May 1923, in Provo, Utah, Utah, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Provo City Cemetery, Provo, Utah, Utah, United States.
