When Rebecca Curry was born on 7 June 1797, in Rockingham, Virginia, United States, her father, Robert Curry, was 38 and her mother, Phoebe Sample, was 31. She married Andrew Johnson Moore on 6 July 1815, in Clermont, Ohio, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. She lived in Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States in 1850 and Provo, Utah, Utah, United States in 1860. She died on 27 August 1870, in Guilford, Nodaway, Missouri, United States, at the age of 73.

1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.

1812 · Monumental Church Built

The Monumental Church was built between 1812-1814 on the sight where the Richmond Theatre fire had taken place. It is a monument to those that died in the fire.

1819 · Panic! of 1819

With the Aftermath of the Napoleonic Wars the global market for trade was down. During this time, America had its first financial crisis and it lasted for only two years.
