When Britta Andersson was born about 23 September 1822, in Brevik, Skaraborg, Sweden, her father, Anders Vilhelmsson, was 27 and her mother, Maria Svensson, was 30. She married Lars Karlsson on 23 October 1845, in Gotland, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. She died about 5 April 1887, in Oakley, Cassia, Idaho, United States, at the age of 64, and was buried in Oakley Cemetery, Oakley, Cassia, Idaho, United States.
