He lived in Rich, Utah, United States in 1870 and St. Charles, Bear Lake, Idaho, United States in 1879. He registered for military service in 1831. He died on 1 August 1881, in Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark, at the age of 57, and was buried in Saint Charles Cemetery, St. Charles, Bear Lake, Idaho, United States.
