When Christena Jensine Madsen Nielsdatter was born on 29 April 1821, in Birkerød, Kronborg, Denmark, her father, Niels Madsen, was 24 and her mother, Karen Hansen, was 24. She married Hans Jensen on 5 June 1846, in Farum, Ølstykke, Frederiksborg, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. She immigrated to Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1863 and lived in Stege, Præstø, Denmark in 1860 and Hyrum, Cache, Utah, United States in 1880. She died on 28 March 1893, in Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah, United States, at the age of 71, and was buried in Brigham City Cemetery, Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah, United States.

1825 · The Crimes Act

The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.
