He married Fanny Louise Greeley on 3 October 1826, in Cattaraugus, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Iron City, Iron, Utah, United States in 1850 and Utah, United States in 1870. He registered for military service in 1850. He died on 5 July 1884, in Murray, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 77, and was buried in Murray Cemetery, Murray, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
