She had at least 7 sons and 5 daughters with Chauncey Griswold Webb. She lived in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States in 1839 and Fairfield Township, Cedar, Iowa, United States in 1860. She died on 22 February 1909, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 81, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
After the Saints had been chased out of Missouri they moved to a swampy area located next to the Mississippi River. Here they settled and named the place Nauvoo which translates into the city beautiful.
On May 27, 1850, a tornado came through Nauvoo and took the remaining outer walls of the temple. It was the most frightful thing the city had witnessed. Not just a tornado but also lightening, thunder, wind, hail and rain assailed the spot. Over time what was not destroyed by the storm crumbled until only a small amount was left.
