When Mary Ann Angell was born on 8 June 1803, in Seneca, Ontario, New York, United States, her father, James Williams Angell, was 26 and her mother, Phoebe Ann Morton, was 17. She married Brigham Young on 31 March 1834, in Kirtland Township, Geauga, Ohio, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. She lived in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States in 1839 and Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1850. She died on 27 June 1882, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
