When Julia Hills was born on 26 September 1783, in Upton, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States, her father, Joseph Hills, was 25 and her mother, Esther Ellis, was 25. She married Ezekiel Johnson on 12 January 1801, in Grafton, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 7 daughters. She lived in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States in 1839. She died on 30 May 1853, in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States, at the age of 69, and was buried in Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
