When Karen Caroline Andersdtr was born on 23 December 1817, in Nes, Hedmark, Norway, her father, Anders Nielsen Widsberg, was 28 and her mother, Clara Christensen, was 30. She married Hans Thoresen Johnson on 14 March 1845, in Oslo, Norway. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 3 daughters. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1863. She died on 14 March 1891, in Hyrum, Cache, Utah, United States, at the age of 73, and was buried in Hyrum City Cemetery, Hyrum, Cache, Utah, United States.
