When Pernilla Nilsdotter was born on 21 April 1818, in Viby, Gustav Adolf, Kristianstad, Sweden, her father, Nils Christensson Bom, was 30 and her mother, Karna Jönsdotter, was 32. She married Ole Nielson on 4 August 1844, in Gustav Adolf, Kristianstad, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 2 daughters. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1863 and lived in Gustav Adolf, Kristianstad, Sweden in 1818 and Fredericia, Trinitatis, Elbo, Vejle, Denmark in 1860. She died on 20 December 1898, in Fairview, Sanpete, Utah, United States, at the age of 80, and was buried in Fairview Pioneer Cemetery, Fairview, Sanpete, Utah, United States.
