She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1862 and lived in Skelund, Hindsted, Ålborg, Denmark for about 20 years. She died on 6 January 1879, in Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States, at the age of 68, and was buried in Ephraim Pioneer Cemetery, Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States.
