He married Mabel Ann Morse on 29 March 1857, in San Bernardino, San Bernardino, California, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 10 daughters. He lived in Kanosh, Millard, Utah, United States for about 10 years and Bluewater, Valencia, New Mexico, United States in 1910. He registered for military service in 1866. He died on 27 August 1916, in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona, United States.
