He married Luella Livermore Silvester on 10 August 1917, in Llano, Los Angeles, California, United States. He lived in Apache, Arizona, United States in 1880 and Utah, United States in 1930. He died on 18 March 1964, in French Camp, San Joaquin, California, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Stockton, San Joaquin, California, United States.

1881 · The Assassination of James Garfield

Garfield was shot twice by Charles J. Guitea at Railroad Station in Washington, D.C. on July 2, 1881. After eleven weeks of intensive and other care Garfield died in Elberon, New Jersey, the second of four presidents to be assassinated, following Abraham Lincoln.

1896 · Utah Becomes a State

After three prior attempts to become a state, the United States Congress accepted Utah into the Union on one condition. This condition was that the new state rewrite their constitution to say that all forms of polygamy were banned. The territory agreed, and Utah became a state on January 4, 1896.

1905 · The Movie Theater

The world’s first movie theater was located in Pittsburgh. It was referred to as a nickelodeon as at the time it only cost 5 cents to get in.
