When Kirsten Andersdatter was born on 26 October 1809, in Farre, Sporup, Gjern, Skanderborg, Denmark, her father, Anders Pedersen, was 38 and her mother, Karen Thomasdatter, was 29. She married Peder Jensen on 8 April 1838, in Hammel, Gjern, Skanderborg, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 2 daughters. She immigrated to Florence, Douglas, Nebraska, United States in 1862 and lived in Sporup, Gjern, Skanderborg, Denmark for about 10 years. She died on 18 May 1880, in Moroni, Sanpete, Utah, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in Moroni City Cemetery, Moroni, Sanpete, Utah, United States.
