When James Tillman Sanford Allred Sr was born on 28 March 1825, in Farmington, Williamson, Tennessee, United States, his father, James Allred, was 41 and his mother, Elizabeth Ann Warren, was 38. He married Eliza Bridget Manwaring on 23 November 1845, in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Henry, Iowa, United States in 1860 and Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States in 1860. He registered for military service in 1853. He died on 29 March 1905, in Spring City, Sanpete, Utah, United States, at the age of 80, and was buried in Spring City Cemetery, Spring City, Sanpete, Utah, United States.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening
Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
