When Erastus Snow was born on 9 November 1818, in St. Johnsbury, Caledonia, Vermont, United States, his father, Levi Snow, was 36 and his mother, Lucina Streeter, was 33. He married Artemisia Beman on 13 December 1838, in Far West, Caldwell, Missouri, United States. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 27 May 1888, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 69, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
