He married Mary Ullerup Pedersen in 1860, in Moroni, Sanpete, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Spring City, Sanpete, Utah, United States in 1870 and Gooseberry, Sevier, Utah, United States in 1900. He died on 26 March 1908, in Salina, Sevier, Utah, United States, at the age of 67, and was buried in Pioneer Cemetery, Salina, Sevier, Utah, United States.
