He married Dorothy Rose Halliday on 6 October 1932, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. He lived in San Juan, Utah, United States in 1898 and Election Precinct 3 Blanding, San Juan, Utah, United States in 1940. He died on 11 December 1977, in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona, United States.

1899 · The Salt Palace Convention Center
The original Salt Palace was built in 1899 and It stood on 900 South, between State Street and Main Street. The Salt Palace was a frame structure covered in large pieces of rock salt, which gave it its name. The Salt Palace was destroyed by fire on August 29, 1910 and was replaced by the Majestic Hall. This Hall only lasted for a while during the remodel of the Salt Palace. The Salt Palace served as the Olympic Media Center during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Salt Lake Comic Con has been held at the Salt Palace Convention Center since September 2013.

The Eighteenth Amendment established a prohibition on all intoxicating liquors in the United States. Making it the first and only amendment that has been repealed.
